A SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF WAUSAU’S
FY 2024 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

This notice will inform interested persons of a Substantial Amendment to the City of Wausau’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024.

The proposed amendment is to reprogram $25,000 from returned funds from Granite House (a public service activity) into an Acquisition Activity to assist with the development of affordable housing (single-family homes).

On or about January 29, 2026, the City of Wausau will submit the substantial amendment to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval after the request is vetted through the City’s Finance Committee on January 13, 2026, and City Council on January 27, 2026.

Any persons wishing to comment, should attend such meetings described above or submit them to Tammy Stratz, Development Department, 407 Grant Street, WI 54403 or by email to tammy.stratz@wausauwi.gov.  All comments received during the minimum 15-calendar day comment period beginning January 12, 2026, through January 28, 2026 will be considered and included in the Substantial Amendment to HUD.
