The City of Wausau is seeking proposals for segregated reactivation of granular activated carbon (GAC) in pressure vessels at the City of Wausau Drinking Water Treatment Facility (DWTF) that are used to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The DWTF is located at 1801 Burek Avenue, Wausau, Wisconsin 54401. Existing GAC shall be removed from vessels, reactivated in a segregated manner and reinstalled in vessels.

Proposals will be opened by the Board of Public Works on May 5, 2026 at 2:00 pm CST in the Council Chambers of Wausau City Hall, 407 Grant Street, Wausau, Wisconsin 54403.
