We’re excited to announce the City of Wausau Photo Contest! Capture the beauty, charm, and unique spirit of our community through your lens. Whether it’s a scenic view, a vibrant event, or a hidden gem, we want to see Wausau through your eyes.
Selected photos will be featured in the City’s newsletter, on our website, and/or across our Facebook page. Plus, the top three photos will receive a $25 gift card as a token of appreciation for sharing your talent!
How to Enter:
- Submit your best Wausau-themed photo via our online application opening June 1, 2026.
- Make sure your image is high-quality and original.
Let your creativity shine and help us showcase what makes Wausau special!
Timeline:
- Monday, June 1, 2026 – Contest Opens
- Monday, August 31, 2026 – Contest Closes
- September 2026- Announcement of Winners chosen by the Wausau Arts Commission
Contest Rules:
- Submission of a photo is an agreement to Terms and Conditions the of this contest.
- This contest is open to all ages, however, those under 18 years old must have parental consent as described in the Terms and Conditions .
- All photographs submitted will become property of the City of Wausau and may be used in both print and digital publications as described in the Terms and Conditions.
- If photos are taken in a public space (i.e. park, street, event), there is no need for a photo release of identifiable people. However, if a photo is taken in a private location with identifiable people, it is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain permission to use the photograph.
Submission Guidelines:
- All photos must be taken within Wausau city limits.
- Photos with watermarks, logos or generated from AI are not permitted.
- Photos need to be at least 1 MB in size with a resolution of 300 dpi in JPEG or PNG format.
- All submissions must be submitted digitally.
