There are several options to sign up to pay your taxes automatically by ACH. There is no charge for this service. This option allows you to choose if you'd like the full payment made on December 31, the full payment on January 31, or if you'd like to make installment payments on January 31, April 30, and July 31. The same form can be used to sign up for auto ACH, remove auto ACH, or to change banking information related to your current auto ACH.
To ensure accuracy, we ask that you provide a voided check or a document on bank letterhead with your routing/ABA number and account number no matter which method you use. This is encouraged but not required.

2. By Mail - Print our paper form at Electronic Payment of Taxes Form and mail to us at:

3. In Person - Stop in at City Hall during our business hours to complete a paper form.
For all methods of submitting the form, please allow two week lead time to set up. It is important that we have time to set up the payment in our system properly and prenote the banking information.
When you sign up for this option, it stays in effect until you ask us to remove it. Your tax bill will say Electronic Payment at the top of the installment section if you are already signed up.
It is your responsibility to inform the City of Wausau of any changes to your banking information.
If your payment is returned for any reason, you will be charged a $45 returned payment fee by the City of Wausau.
Receipts will not be mailed after the transfer has taken place.
