Since 1872, the Wausau Police Department has served the City of Wausau, a community of nearly 40,000 population located in the heart of Central Wisconsin and part of a larger metropolitan community of a neighboring cities and villages which make up Marathon County. The department is comprised of 81 sworn-staff in addition to a number of civilian partners who serve our community 24/7.
